Smiley Rufus in his EdwynUK Neckerchief

December 9, 2012

On Friday we met the lovely Rufus and his owner at our Spitalfields stall where his owner treated him to one of our hand printed neckerchiefs.
This is him wearing it – with the biggest grin I have seen on any dog! We told them about the Winter Weltaf walk at Wanstead Park today, and luckily they were able to make it!
Check out the Weltaf website for details of future walks if you have a Welshie or are intested in finding out more about the breed in the fur!

Doggie Christmas Tree Decorations

November 22, 2012

Here’s a peek of some of the Christmas Decorations we’ll be selling at Spitalfields and The We Make London Christmas Fair at Battersea Arts Centre.
We’ve been busy making and listing our special edition Christmas tree decorations in our EdwynUK Etsy shop. We’ve got some great gold fabric, which along with the red velvet makes a great backing for the red and natural linen the dog faces are printed on. We’re listing the different dog breeds (and not forgetting the black cat!) as fast as we can, just get in touch if you want one that’s not listed yet.
So keep your eyes peeled…. it’ll soon be time to decorate the tree!

Edwyn UK at Paws and Purrs N16

November 17, 2012

This week we made a delivery to the lovely Paws & Purrs in Stoke Newington, a lovely independent pet shop which is just our cup of tea. As well as stocking essentials like food (including Lily’s Kitchen special Christmas dinner for dogs… pssst get it before it goes!) collars and leads, coats and jumpers, they also have a great range of dog and cat related goodies. Artwork, cards, lamps, t-shirts for little ones.

And now they have added to their EdwynUK range with a selection of doorstops, draught excluders and cushions sitting along side neckerchiefs and dog tidy pouches in some lovely new fabrics. So if you’re in the area, be sure to go check them out.

Draught Excluders!

November 12, 2012

Yes, it’s that time of year when it’s time to get out the thermal boots, put and extra jumper on and get out the draught excluder… especially if you’re trying to beat the rise and rise of the heating bills!

To help you out here are some of our draught excluders introducing some florals and a lovely plum Irish linen. They are great if you’ve got a howling draught coming in under the door…. and if you need one a bit longer, or shorter I can make them to your specifications.

And if you think they’re too good for the floor, then I have it good authority they make a good sofa bolster!

You can find them here in my EdwynUK Etsy shop.

Edwyn’s Daily Blanket on Instagram

November 12, 2012

For those of you who are not aware, Edwyn loves his sleep. Since the nights have drawn in and the temperature has dropped out came my favourite sofa blanket. The one I like to cuddle up in while watching Strictly Come Dancing or Downton Abby . Only now, as documented on Instagram, it has now been well and truly purloined by Edwyn.

I have taken to recording this daily theft under the title of The Daily Blanket, so if you want to keep up with the sleeping habits of an East London Welsh Terrier, then look up edwynuk on the Instagram app. I do photograph other things, but it’s mostly all about the dog!

Two of todays Daily Blankets

PS. Whilst on the subject of blankets, if you don’t know it already, you must check out the wonderful Under the Blanket blog by BlanketID. An ex Brit in Canada who does an amazing round up of fantastic doggie related fabulousness… as well as producing very stylish dog tags and id system…… we’ve even been featured on there too!

Woofs to Kittys Battersea – it’s open!

November 3, 2012

A little while back I posted about a new grooming parlour and pet boutique in Battersea, Woofs to Kittys, that are stocking a selection of EdwynUK products, well here’s an update. Photo’s of the shop open in all its glory and the wonderful welcoming committee and product testers….. The shop may be small but it’s packed full of goodies, food, clothes, collars and leads, and of course our very own dog tidy’s, keyrings and draught excluders.

It’s notoriously hard to find a good groomer but if you’re in the Battersea – Clapham area look no further because the lovely Anita and Hannah will take wonderful care of your fourlegged friends – cats and dogs – and will have them looking tip top and super smart.

Spitalfields Market – new fabrics!

October 14, 2012

I thought I’d better share a snapshot of my Spitalfields stall. This is a corner of my regular Friday spot, but some of you new to Edwyn UK may have found me at the Saturday We Make London stall next door at Old Spitalfields. It was lovely to see so many new faces, and those with dogs got some of my first batch of peanut butter and carrot dog treats!
The new fabrics went down very well and the draught excluders sold on their first outing this season, perfect timing as it’s just turning really chilly here in the UK.
Check out my Etsy shop in the coming week or so as ill be updating with the new stock, but do come and visit at Spitalfields if you can!

We Make London at Old Spitalfields Market

October 10, 2012

This Saturday we’re joining old friends We Make London in Old Spitalfields Market in a dedicated area of 30-50 stalls. We Make London showcase London based designer makers and promote the importance of British Contemporary Craft through their well organised and promoted fairs and events, so we’re really pleased to nip next door from our usual spot and join them on our home turf on a Saturday!

That means those that can’t make it on our usual Friday can come down this Saturday and get to meet lots of other talented makers at the same time!

NEWSFLASH!! Inspired by our recent visit to Lily’s Kitchen new cook book for dogs, we’ve baked some doggie treats to give away to canine visitors to the stall: Peanut butter and carrot, Edwyn loves them!!
