Allotment Dog
It would be nice to harness the Welsh Terriers natural instinct to dig, but alas there are far too many other distractions. Hence Edwyn is tethered to his post looking wistfully towards some scent he will have picked up.
As it is allotment society rules declare dogs to be kept on a lead at all times. Too much is the temptation to hare across open plots chasing rabbits, squirrels, cats, foxes. Edwyn has broken free of his lead (and collar) only a handful of times but the memory of such unbridled freedom and opportunity for mischief means that whenever we set of for a walk he would rather turn right to the allotments than left to the park……..
Soon, though, it will be too warm for thoughts of chasing wildlife, and time for him to curl up under the shade of the hawthorn tree and snooze the day away.
