East London Craft Guerrilla Christmas Market

Yesterday was my very first craft market showcasing ‘Edwyn’ with the lovely East London Craft Guerilla gang.

It was a freezing day, the locals were a bit threatened by the word guerilla and obviously thought they were about to be attacked by soft toys, stuffed cushions and knitting needles judging by their wide berth of the venue. But those that did brave the weather and stop by were lovely people and got to taste some amazing cakes and see a lot of lovely things from the many talented people there.

I loved the venue, a superb example of an English church hall, painted tongue and groove, rows of coat pegs, and there must have been a tea urn lurking somewhere. Crying out for a tea dance I’d say.

That’s not me ‘relaxing’ the stall, by the way…….

I chanced upon the tea urn during a visit to the hall’s kitchen, a veteran of many a tea dance I reckon – and judging by the sign regarding caution when ‘running in the hall’, this has been home to many a child’s delighted squeal when sliding on it’s polished wooden floor…

A quiet but in many ways perfect introduction for ‘Edwyn’ I thought…

So sorry we could not make the Craft Fair, hope you had a successful day.

The little Welshies and the cushions look wonderful! Are the WT’s felt?

Would you be able to bring one of the WT’s to the London ramble? I would love to see one.

    H.

What lovely things. Gorgeous colours, beautifully hand made and of course the Edwyn/Welshie motif is to die for

We’ve been looking for tasteful WT cushions so please keep us posted. I see the linen/hand stitched ones are to order/price in dollars but if you have the ones shown here I’d be interested to know about them too.

I love all your stuff and had guessed that you were a designer from your fab photos and clearly v. tasteful colours/back drops in photos of Edwyn

Have you thought of doing a series with Border terriers as they are a breed with tons of addicted owners? I see you’ve done spaniels on cushions are they big in the US market

Must go as should be working not chatting about WTs.

Lovely to see you today and hope the show went well.

So pleased you like the Edwyn range, I will email you about cushions I have in stock, and prices in sterling.
I love border terriers, I just need to get some good photo’s/images to work from and spaniels are a firm favourite with Edwyn, so we have a fair few action shots of them!

Shame it was such a brief meet yesterday, but hopefully see you and the family soon on another walk.

    Louise.
